How to make Natural Brown Hair Dye at Home that Lasts for Long Time

So our today’s remedy is going to be a natural hair dye with no harmful colors added in them.

100ml-Beetroot juice

Walnut tree bark (adequate sized)

75g – Henna powder

2tbs – Coffee

1 – Egg

2tbs – Coconut oil



Beetroot has a bright red color which is usually used in homemade lip-balms and lipsticks as well. Its use makes your scalp dandruff free and gives a natural shine on your hair. Moreover, its proteins, calcium, and vitamin-A help in hair growth.

The walnut tree has many magical specialties. It is grown in cold and high areas. Many people use this bark to clean their teeth. If this bark is boiled in water then it gives out a bold dark color to the water which people in northern Pakistan, use as a temporary dye. But it will help in strengthening the roots of your hair. You can easily find this bark at any grocer in the market.

Henna is a fabulous ingredient to naturally dye hair. it has the ability to strengthen and nourish the hairs from roots to the hair ends.

Note: you can increase or decrease the quantity of henna according to the length of hairs. For this remedy, I suggest you, to use “Merhaba Mehndi” because it gives a natural tint.



Caffeine in coffee is great for hair. Coffee is a source of nutrients and antioxidants that may benefit the skin, scalp, and hair. Coffee strengthens the hair and improves the overall quality of hairs. When coffee is applied to hair directly, the caffeine is absorbed by the roots of the hair, making them softer and shinier instantly.



An egg is 99% protein which helps in boosting the keratin found in your hair which results in stronger and shinier hair when applied directly as a mask.

Coconut oil will prevent your scalp from getting dry resulting in lesser or no dandruff. It will also keep your hair and scalp nourished. Coconut oil promotes the scalp health fighting against major problems as insect bites, lice, and dandruff.

Take a pan and add 2 glass of water, 100ml of beetroot juice and a reasonably sized walnut tree bark. Cook the mixture until it’s left half and then let it cool down. During that period, take a bowl and add 75g of henna powder, 2tbs of Coffee, 1 egg (or 2tbs of Aloe Vera gel) and 2tbs of coconut oil (or 2tbs of honey). Now add the cooled mixture in the bowl and start mixing it until it becomes a paste. Now let the paste to sit for 2-3 hours and then apply this paste on your hair from roots to tip. For best and long-lasting results use this twice a week.

Note shampoo your hair before applying this paste but don’t use shampoo for rinsing the paste. If you want to use shampoo you can use it very next day after applying the paste.
